I love this little girl!

I was on vacation this last week and I was able to take this little girl with me! It was a blast to be around my grand kids. Whenever I go, I have built in models for what ever project I have been working on.  This is my latest project and little Miss Sof was so willing to be my model. (She is a natural.)

We stayed at this wonderful historic house and it was great fun.

Don't have to do much to coax this one to smile.

See, she is a natural, not sure where this pose came from! ( love you Sof!)

I made this hat in a lacy crochet pattern and added the crochet rose and leaves.  I decided it needed just a little bit more and added the beads and it was perfect!

We had a great vacation and it was so sad to leave.

This was a quick pattern and so fun to make!

We had a great time just being together.
The memories are priceless and so is my family.

I will have to just see this cute face on a screen for a little while,( it's not quite the same as being in person but it will have to do, and I am grateful for face time.)
Thanks, Sof!

Some more projects

Since I am here visiting my grand kids, I thought I better take advantage of these cute little kiddo's!
I made this hat for baby Jack and since it is fall I thought it would be a perfect hat for a cut little pumpkin.  The hat is a little big but the way he is growing it will fit soon!

I knitted this with three colors and when I did the checkerboard I just left the colors attached and just carried the next color over  so it was quick because I didn't need to keep starting a new color.

I added the stem and the little pumpkin curly Q's to the top and it made the perfect fall hat.

I can't get enough of this cute little guy and I am going to be sad because I am leaving tomorrow.

He is just the best baby and I am going to miss all of his snuggles!

This little girl, I am going to miss as well, whatever I am doing she is right by my side and if I do it she has to do it as well.  Of course, if baby Jack was getting his photo in the basket, she needed one as well.

The hat actually fits her pretty well.

I embroidered this blanket before I left and finished the edging after I got here.

I used the furry yarn to go on this little froggy blanket and just did a single crochet all around the edge.

It is nice and warm and fuzzy!

The frog was embroidered on my machine.

I then made this crocheted scarf out of #3 crochet thread. I was just making a flower chain and then thought it would make a cute scarf.

I then added a flower ring to fasten the scarf together. I thought that would be easier than tying it.

It turned out okay, but I would make a few adjustments to the flowers and not make them so loose.

It kind of had a shabby chic feeling this way.

It was quick to do and I will have to make another and make the adjustments to it.
It has been a great trip and so fun to be with these cute little munchkins!

Summer Crochet hat

I finished this hat this last week just in time for my grand daughter to model it for me.
I don't get to have her here very often because she lives far away. So I had to take advantage of this cute little model.
I made this hat with a light weight cotton, (because it is starting to feel like summer here! )

I made a triple, well I guess it was a quadruple flower to add to it and the orange sherbet color just screams summer to me. (Don't you just love this cute little face! I think I am a little biased because I am her grandma!)

I did add some small crocheted circles to the edges of the flowers, you can kind of see them in this picture.

It sure was fun having all of my Grand kids here this last week.

Yes, we have 9 boys and 3 girls!

It would not be complete without our silly faces.

Thanks Miss Sofia for being my cute model. I'm working on some more hats so they can all have a turn.
(hmm, maybe I will change my mind, that is 12 hats!!!)

My unconventional model

This little boy is the sweetest little baby and he loves to be cuddled and has such a good nature about him. I love his sweet innocence and I love being his grandmother. I hope later in his life he will be forgiving of his crazy grandma.
I have nine grandsons and three granddaughters and all of my granddaughters live far away so when I need a model for my cute girly things I have to travel to their homes, (which is far away for a weekend trip.)

He was at my home this weekend and I had just finished knitting a cute girly hat.

So, I tried it on him! I did leave his little baseball outfit on though.

He made the perfect little model and if  he didn't have his baseball outfit on you would think that he was a cute girly girl.

Well, I can kind of see the boy coming through but he is adorable. (I am a little biased.)

I can't wait to try this hat on one of my granddaughters though with their cute little girly hair and faces.

Just one more picture taking out the navy blue and replacing the color with some light blue from the hat.
I love his little drool.

This hat was quick to make up and I loved the rolled flower on it.

Trevor thanks for being such a good sport and later on in life I promise we won't show this in your wedding video!
