Baby sneakers!

I started making a pattern for baby sneakers last February and I could never get them to look just right, so I made quite a few and changed the pattern several times.  I think I finally got it to look like I wanted!

I tried different ways to make the sole, some were too big and some were too small.

but then I got it just right!

I loved the color of these ones.

so cute!

I guess these could be for a baby boy or a baby girl.  I have made some really girly ones but I haven't taken any pictures yet.

Yep, kind of liking them.

I wanted to make a pattern for some smaller ones because the first ones I made were for a size 12 month to 24 months, depending on how big there feet are.

This actually is a different pattern because it had to be so much smaller, but I like how they turned out as well.

won't they be cute on some little baby feet!

Mom's birthday gift

It is always hard to know what to give my Mom for a gift.  I think she likes things that I make so I made something for her that I  crocheted. I like having something on my feet around the house so I thought maybe she would like these Mary Jane slippers.

I had made a pattern for these earlier so I just tried them with this chunky gray yarn.

I added the flower and had these metallic nickel colored buttons that worked perfectly for the middle of the flower.

Hope that she liked them, ( I know she did, because she told me.)

They were fun to make.

I also used my machine to embroider these kitchen towels for her.

You never can have enough and these just looked so cute with the applique bird.

I added the large Ric rac and they were complete.

I then crocheted a dish cloth to match.

Kind of cute, huh!

She liked these as well.
Happy Birthday Mom!

Summer outfit!

I got this picture on my email a few weeks ago from someone who wanted me to make some baby flip flops to match this outfit.  The colors were so cute and I couldn't wait to get started.

Here is what I came up with!

aren't these colors just so cute!

I made a headband to match to complete the cute summer outfit.

I love black and white and most colors look good with it but this coral pink is just adorable.

They will look so cute on little feet!

These will make a really great summer outfit!

It's Summer!

I made these baby flip flops for a new little one and decided to make a headband to match.
Once you start making these cute little sandals it is hard to stop!

They are quick to make up and who can resist little baby feet?  I found these cute little sparkly stones to go in the center of the flower.

and then decided that wouldn't it be fun to have a headband to match.  I don't know what it is about making miniature shoes, sandals and etc, but I have always loved little baby feet and shoes. What is it that makes them so cute?  I think it is the miniature part of them.  Can you tell I am tired? I think I am rambling but I thought I should show you these cute little things before I went to bed.

Can't wait to make some more, and I got some inspiration today to make some cute little hats, I'm not sure I am going to be able to fall asleep with these ideas roaming through my head!

If you haven't tried crocheting you should try, it is just fascinating to see what you can create from a piece of string!

Thinking Spring!

It is starting to feel like Spring! Not so much that the snow is gone but the days are staying lighter longer and I can feel it in the air!  I just finished this new pattern and I think I made it because I feel like Spring!

I love little baby shoes and this color and this cute little flower just makes this pair.

I experimented with some flower ideas and love how this patten turned out.

Kind of makes me feel like making me some Easter shoes!

There is just something about a sweet pair of shoes on some sweet little baby feet!  This pair is a gift for a brand new baby girl!

Some new patterns!

I have been working on some new patterns and I have had request to make some larger sizes. ( Most of my patterns are baby size.)

This little ballet slipper is probably about the right size for a 6- 8 year old.  Depending on the size hook you use and the weight of yarn it could vary. It is made with wool yarn which is double stranded.

So, it is not only cute but warm as well!

I love the rose on the toe and think it would make a great gift for any little girl, especially for those who like shoes! ( A girl can never have enough shoes!)

The next pattern is for a newborn to 3 month old and I love sock monkeys so I thought some little sock monkey booties would be great.

I will have to get busy and make one of my sock monkey hats to match!

These were very quick to make up, (once, I got the pattern written.)

I love these, with their cute little smiles on their faces!

These next ones are my size, I wear a size 7- 7 1/2 shoe size and they could be adjusted as well according to the hook size and weight of yarn. Actually the first ones I made were too big, so I unwound them and started over.

I added the buttons for detail.

See how snugly and warm they are!

Perfect for this time of year, I'm thinking I need some in every color!  Hope you all have a great week!!
The water in my craft room is drying up and I am much happier this week!
