My new camera pouch

Earlier this summer the strap on my camera bag broke, if any of you know me I usually have my camera with me every where I go.  I just have a small point and shoot camera and I have found that it is easier to take everywhere I go.  I decided to make another little camera pouch for my camera.  I had some black wool fabric that is quite thick and it was just what I needed for the pouch.

I measured the camera and made it about 1 inch bigger all the way around and the added the flap to the back side of the camera.

I sewed around the three sides and then while it was inside out sew the bottom corners , kind of like sewing the bottom edge of a triangle with both seams touching each other.  This will make a flat bottom for the bottom of the pouch.

Before I added the flowers I sewed Velcro onto the flap and onto the front of the pouch.  I then cut out 4 layers of flowers and sewed them all together and sewed a button in the middle of the flower.  Then sew the flower onto the front of the flap.

Kind of a cut little bag eh!

I usually don't have a fanny pack on,but I was listening to a book on tape while I was sewing so now I have 2 pouches on. It works out great and is easy to strap across my shoulder and be ready for all of those pictures I take!
